Caring for the Community
God's Table Ministry provides meals for those in need. God's Table Ministry (GTM) was established in 2024 when Jason Craig and Chris Craig felt lead to ministered to those who could use a kind gesture of a simple meal uplift and encourage the downtrodden within the Waynesboro. The Craigs felt lead to call to start call the ministry God's Table from the mentioning in Scripture where the Lord Jesus mentions (as recorded in Matthew 22) where everyone is invited to the Lord's Table banquet feast. The Bible makes it clear that while everyone is invited not everyone will come -- one must repent (turn from sin) and trust alone in Jesus for salvation. The Craigs so desire for one to make sure that they have placed their faith alone in Jesus Christ.
As David the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 23 that "You prepare a table in the presence of my enemies." Even in today's times of uncertainty no era has never been without its fair share of uncertain, but one thing is for certain. Even though Saul who was very vile towards David, David still choose to honor Saul recognizing God had given him authority. Even after Saul and Saul's son, Jonathan (David's best friend) had passed David sought out to bless a member of Jonathan's family. David found Mephibosheth (2 Samuel 9:6-11) a descendant of Jonathan. A man who had been crippled as a child and who he himself was downtrodden and called himself a "dead dog" David had given him a double portion because of the promised he made to Jonathan. No matter has happen in our lives God and that which was testified by David is our portion (Psalm 73:26).
As David had invited Mephibosheth to the table so Jason Craig and Chris Craig invite you to embrace the gesture of a prepared meal, heartfelt prayers, and with the warn-hearted longing that if one does not know Christ that today would be the day of salvation. The Bible also instructs us to care for those within the faith that do not have someone to care for them (such as widows; 1 Timothy 5) to take care of them. (These things include but are not limited to providing meals, home Bible studies, transportation, communion, baptism, lawncare, etc.)
